Spring has sprung! This season is one of the most ideal times to go out and explore our beautiful state. Luckily, there are plenty of spring events happening in Colorado all the time. Skip the research — we’ve created a list of some of the best events around the state for you. As an added bonus, we paired each event with the perfect pot product from Buddy Boy Brands.
The 5Point Film Festival is a beautifully created 4-day event mixed with art, film, and culture. Hosted in Carbondale, Colorado, your ticket to the event will grant you access to way more than just film screenings. There are food truck rodeos, yoga, panels, community tailgate parties, nights out on the town, a river clean up, picnics, and ice cream socials. The 5Point Film Festival is a kid-friendly environment too so you can bring the whole family. An all access pass is $235 and comes with 4 drink tickets.
Pair with Dixie Dew Drops
A tincture may seem like a boring choice, but you will be so happy you stocked up. This is a four day event packed with indoor and outdoor events, so you don’t want to limit yourself to a vape pen or joints. Dixie Dew Drops can be taken by themselves, added to drinks for a deliciously infused beverage, or added into food. Not to mention tinctures are fast-acting and long lasting, so a little will go a long way.
The last two events are pretty pricey, but don’t worry…this one is free! Held at Civic Center Park and open to the public, the Cinco De Mayo festival in Denver is one of the largest cultural celebrations of Mexican Heritage in the country. There are cultural performances, carnival games, live music, and tons of incredible and authentic food for purchase. This two-day event is also family friendly!
Pair with Wynkoop Kush
This sativa-like hybrid produces a wonderfully euphoric high that will put you in the mood to truly enjoy the cultural experience that awaits. People often use this strain to manage migraines, ADD/ADHD, and stress. But because of its balanced effects, you can smoke Wynkoop Kush as an all-day strain for recreational relaxation. Roll this into a couple joints or bring a one hitter with you to the event!
Not every spring event is booze and food. While we don’t understand why anyone would want to do anything but eat, smoke, and drink on a weekend, we wanted to include an option for the more active and productive Coloradans out there. The Colfax Marathon is known as one of the country’s best races. The course winds through the city of Denver in a very cool way, including running routes through parks, main business districts, and even the Denver Zoo! If a full marathon isn’t your thing, sign up for the half marathon.
Pair with The Growing Kitchen Zoom Ball
You are going to need something energize to get you through all those miles. These high dose, sativa edibles are made to relieve pain, heighten energy, and increase motivation. Zoom Balls are made with organic almonds, dates, apricots, raisins, and coconut. They are completely dairy, wheat, gluten, and sugar free to fit all dietary restrictions.
The Denver Arts Festival is an annual event to showcase both local Colorado artists and makers from all over the country. Hosted on Memorial Day in Stapleton, this artistic event is a great way to spend a holiday weekend. Is art not really your thing? There will also be live music and food trucks. This event is completely free to attend!
